Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had spacious and well-appointed rooms that were very clean and spacious; however, the loud extractor fan noise from the kitchen was a downside. The service was friendly and helpful, with excellent breakfast and evening meals, though there was a moment of privacy concern. The location allowed for easy access around the town of Tain but may not be appealing for a return visit. The dining provided good options, but there was a complaint about the timing of breakfast depletion. Overall, a clean, comfortable stay with friendly staff and good meals.
The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, although dated, were in good order, but facing the front could be bothersome due to a flood light shining through the window all night. The thin curtains didn't fully cover the window. On the bright side, the room was large, bright, and comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well in communal areas.
The hotel offers lovely warm and comfortable rooms with everything we'd expect, although the odour of carpet freshener was a bit unpleasant. The service was friendly and helpful, particularly from receptionist Joanie and the breakfast waitress. The location is great for exploring nearby Dornoch. The dining experience was very good overall, with a good range of continental and cooked breakfast options. The facilities were convenient and well-maintained, enhancing the overall stay.
